9 OCTOBER 2025
The seventh International Instructional Technologies in Engineering Education Symposium (7th IITEE) will be held hybrid on October 9 in the Turgut Yazıcıoğlu Conference Hall in the Faculty of Engineering, Ege University. Participation and abstract submission are free of charge.
The 7th IITEE will enable discussions of current issues that stand out in the field, thanks to the effective integration of online creativity techniques and instructional technologies in different engineering fields.
Thanks to the huge demand for Information Communication Technologies and higher education in today's technology-focused global ecosystem, educational environments and higher education institutions are diversified; however, with easier access to information, young people's learning skills have changed, their interest in visual subjects has increased, and their attention span has shortened. All these changes made it inevitable to renew the training programs and contents. One of the most important factors affecting the quality of Education in Engineering is the ability of engineering professors to use principles, methods and technology effectively in their courses. Therefore, the most important objective of the International Symposium of Instructional Technologies in Engineering Education is to provide an initiative to share, discuss and apply the latest developments in educational technologies to train competent engineers
The 7th IITEE is funded by the Horizon Europe 2021-2027 framework program of the European Commission, of which Ege University is the coordinator;
A special session will feature the "Virtual Innovative Learning Laboratories for Global Engineering Education (VILLAGE)” project grant-agreement number “101086464. VILLAGE aims to re-examine the post-pandemic teaching processes and needs of engineering instructors and students in laboratory practices within a multidimensional, multicultural, and multidisciplinary framework. VILLAGE seeks to identify roadmaps for innovative and sustainable instructional models through collaborative research, staff exchange, and stakeholder engagement. Going beyond existing virtual lab solutions, VILLAGE proposes a comprehensive and sustainable model for engineering laboratory education that addresses both pedagogical and technological dimensions.
